Frederic Esmonin Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles Saint Jacques 2023 ABC321 The second wine of ChâteauEstournelles Saint Jacques sits high on the slope above Lavaux Saint Jacques, just north of Clos Saint Jacques, where the elevation, the limestone, and the cooler exposure give Gevrey a more aerial profile than the muscular wines of the village's southern half. Frederic Esmonin works with his parents Andre and Michele on a small family domaine that has quietly climbed into the upper tier of Gevrey for a fraction of what the famous names command. The
