Picnic Pinot Noir is made in a diminutive style aimed to reflect the characters that Central Otago Pinot does so very well – black and red cherry fruit

The palate is soft and full with flavours of lychee elderflower and lemongrass

with enough freshness to keep it all light on its feet

along with a little flint and wet river stones

Landaire Chardonnay 2017 cave-de-tain-lhermitage Picnic Pinot Noir is madeBright lemon yellow colour with an intriguing bouquet of vanilla, fig and popcorn. The palate is vibrant with lithe acidity. Grapefruit, Pink Lady apples and peach are supported by a subtle cashew nut note. This wine is beginning to show the complexity that it will possess in five or more years. Meanwhile it is a gloriously elegant Chardonnay which will pair with delicately flavoured dishes or the bright, saline twang of a Coffin Bay oyster.
