Le Sol (French: the soil) is born of the renowned Gimblett Gravels viticultural appellation

I think we have worked the aromatic side in a more interesting way than typical Spanish ciders

The solera for this wine is meticulously maintained and has been for over 60 years

but has the structure to age gracefully over 20 years in the best vintages

Geoff Merrill Wickham Park Shiraz Cabernet rey-del-mundo Le Sol (French: the soil)The colour is a dark red with good depth and purple hues. Although 2017 was a cooler vintage, the fruit aromas are ripe and intense. Savoury notes of earth, leather, black olive and licorice come forward. The small percentage of Cabernet is having a large impact both on the nose and palate, adding herbaceous fruit, fine tannins and red fruit flavours. The palate is generous in weight and texture, finishing on a fleshy cherry note with balanced acidity.
