The term Korokoro in Japanese is an onomatopoeic expression, which expresses the sound of a small rolling object. The term Daruma, on the other hand, refers to daruma dolls, also called dharma dolls, Japanese votive figurines, which represent Bodhidharma (Daruma in Japanese), the founder and first patriarch of Zen Buddhism.
