Painting set in a (non contemporary) frame made of carved and gilded wood, restored and re stretched in the past, is in excellent condition with no losses or color fading. Luisa was venerated by her subjects as the "soul of the national virtue," and some historians have even gone so far as to write that she was "Prussian nationalism personified."
