Her grandmother was born there. The blue in the painting refers to the abundance of water at this place. Hayley grew up in Eastern Arrernte Country and attended Yirrara College in Alice Springs. In 2023 she made history at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week as the sole artist, designer and model
